Real estate development

The real estate development sector covers all facets of property and building development along the entire value chain.

In addition to new-build projects, the revitalization of older commercial buildings is an important facet of investments in the office and retail sector. The group has as many years’ experience and impressive references both in this area and the development of new properties to suit clients’ specifications.

The Dietz Group has achieved a dominant market position in logistics properties in recent years, in particular in the sector of air freight logistics properties. We are now one of the largest private real estate owners at German airports. We have also realised numerous conventional logistics projects for well-known clients.

Real estate special funds

Since 2010 we have been investing and managing real estate special funds exclusively for institutional investors (including insurance companies and retirement funds). To date, we have placed a total investment volume of approx. € 1.9 billion (as of December 31, 2023).

Significant capital co-investments by the Dietz Group itself guarantee that these investments are not affected by conflicts of interest. These business transactions and the special funds are subject to supervision by BaFin (Federal Regulatory Commission for Financial Services) and a deposit bank, and are regulated by the German Capital Investment Act (KAGB).

Asset and property management

Our subsidiary Dietz Asset Management GmbH is the Dietz Group centre of excellence for all property and asset management as well as all general administration. It is the service centre for all issues in connection with real estate investments.

Its core responsibility is securing and increasing the value of managed real estate and investments, and it currently manages a total property value of approx. € 3.74 billion (as of December 2023).

Planning and projects

As part of our integrated approach, the Planning and Projects department provides all architectural and technical planning services in-house, for our own projects and those of selected third-party clients, from the first blueprints and project management through to the finished building.
